Cooling Friday, spot shower chances
TONIGHT: It will be cooler with lows in the upper 30s by morning north of I-70 and low to mid 40s south. Clouds will decrease overnight with a north to northeast wind at 6-9 mph.
FRIDAY: We’ll see some sunshine for the first half of the day before clouds return and it will be cooler. High temperatures will reach the upper 50s to near 60 degrees with a northeast to east breeze at 6-8 mph. A warm front will lift to the north Friday night, bringing a chance of spotty showers.
EXTENDED: The weekend will be mild and a good chance to enjoy the outdoors. A few showers are possible Saturday morning mainly north of I-70 but we’ll have a dry, mild afternoon with high temperatures near 70 under partly sunny skies. Saturday night will stay mild with lows only dropping into the lower 60s. Sunday will be the warmest day of the weekend as southerly winds increase to 15 mph and gusts up to 25 mph, bringing temperatures up into the upper 70s to near 80 before another cold front moves in which will bring a chance of t-storms Sunday afternoon and evening. At this time, the best chance is along and south of I-70. We’ll have to watch for a few stronger storms. Cooler air moves in behind the front dropping us into the mid 50s for Monday with a chance of light rain. The best chance of rain Monday is south of I-70. The cooler weather lingers into mid-week as high temperatures only reach the upper 40s Tuesday and Wednesday.
