Mexico crash involves 14-year-old pedestrian

A crash at the intersection of Monroe and Western in Mexico apparently involved a 14-year-old female pedestrian, but the matter of who struck who has an unusual twist in this case, according to officials.

Officials from the Mexico Department of Public Safety report that the teen was crossing Monroe Street Sunday night and ran into a car that had just turned through the intersection.

The driver of the car was not hurt, and the car sustained minor damage.

The pedestrian had knee pain at the time of the crash, and her mother took her from the scene. She claimed they would seek medical attention on their own.
