Colder air moving in, warmer by weekend
TONIGHT: It will be a cold night under mostly clear skies. Temperatures will drop into the upper 20s to near 30 by morning with northwest winds diminishing to 5 mph.
TUESDAY: Clouds will move back in and it will be chilly! High temperatures will only reach the low to mid 40s with light westerly winds. There is a chance of late-day and evening sprinkles or brief light rain mainly south of I-70 with possibly some light snow mixing in. Surface temperatures will be above freezing so if any snowflakes do fall, they will not stick. For trick-or-treating, you will want to dress in layers with your costumes as it will be cold with temperatures dropping into the upper 30s.
EXTENDED: The clouds will stick around Wednesday for a partly to mostly cloudy sky but it will be slightly warmer with highs in the lower 50s. The warming trend continues into Thursday as we reach the upper 60s but another cold front moves through which will cool us back into the upper 50s Friday. There is a slight rain chance Thursday and Friday but most areas will stay dry. Heading into the weekend, the warming trend resumes and we’ll jump into the lower 60s Saturday and mid 70s Sunday with a slight chance of showers Saturday. A better chance of showers and t-storms moves in Sunday night into Monday. Watch ABC17 News for the latest forecast and follow ABC17 Stormtrack on Twitter for updates.
