Audrain County man found safe, silver advisory alert canceled

UPDATE: Resa has been found safe and is home.

ORIGINAL: Mexico Public Safety issued an endangered Silver Advisory for a man that went missing Thursday morning.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, William Gary Resa has Alzheimer’s and left Mexico to drive to Independence, but did not arrive.

Resa, 81, is described as a white man, 6-feet tall, 160 pounds, with blue eyes, wearing a light-colored button down shirt and tan pants.

His vehicle, a 2015 white Honda Accord, was last seen eastbound on I-70 in the Rocheport area around 7:52 p.m. Thursday.

The vehicle’s license plate reads HK2X2N.
