Board approves solar panel project for Lynn Street Cottages

City of Columbia leaders are moving forward with an affordable housing project in central Columbia.

On Wednesday, the community land trust approved a $40,000 solar panel project for the Lynn Street Cottages.

Board members will choose a contractor in December.

The city plans to build seven homes between North Garth Avenue and Oak Street.

The homes are expected to be completed sometime in March with people set to move in by April.
