Woman accused of crashing twice and leaving the scene while driving drunk

A Columbia woman is already out of jail after allegedly rear-ending two vehicles while drunk and trying to leave the scene of the crashes.

Police say they arrested Wendy Morgan Saturday just after 11:00am.

They say they were first called to a leaving the scene of a crash call near US 63 and Clark Lane.

The investigation revealed Morgan rear-ended the vehicle in front of her then kept driving after the victim pulled over.

A woman who says her son was involved in the crash sent us this picture of the wreck.

Police say Morgan then hit a second vehicle from the rear on northbound US 63 causing significant damage and forcing that vehicle off the roadway.

Officers say Morgan kept driving for about another 1000 feet after that crash before pulling over. However, police say Morgan was trying to leave the scene again when they got there.

Police say they arrested Morgan after smelling alcohol. They arrested Morgan on suspicion of felony driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident.
