JEFFTRAN will offer free rides on Monday

All rides on JEFFTRAN’s fixed routes will be free of charge on Oct. 9.

“This is an opportunity to thank our customers for their business over the past year,” Jefferson City Transit division director Mark Mehmert said.

JEFFTRAN provided nearly 300,000 rides to customers over the most recent fiscal year.

Approximately 50,000 of those rides were on Handiwheels, a para-transit service.
