Boone County deputies arrest woman accused of damaging a car, threatening to kill a man
Boone County deputies arrested Jessamine Tibbs after she was accused of threating a man’s life and damaging his car.
According to the probable cause statement on Thursday, Tibbs drove to the home of her child’s father.
Deputies said Tibbs is accused of putting multiple dents in the victim’s BMW and pouring gasoline over it.
Deputies said Tibbs removed an AC unit from a back window and entered the residence while the victim was inside sleeping.
Once Tibbs was inside, she woke the victim up by poking him in the stomach with a blade of a knife and threatening to “gut him and watch him bleed out,” deputies said.
Deputies said the victim was able to convince Tibbs to leave because their child was there.
Deputies said once Tibbs left, the victim called the police.
Deputies said when they went to Tibbs’ house, she admitted to doing everything.
When deputies tried to arrest Tibbs, she resisted arrest and tried to avoid being handcuffed, deputies said.
Tibbs is charged with burglary and resisting arrest.
