School district raises $7,500 for injured football player

An Eldon family will get a roughly $7,500 donation after a teenager broke his neck during a high school football practice.

On Sept. 21, the Eldon School District announced plans to raise money and sell T-shirts to support Hunter Bushnell.

The high school junior was seriously hurt when he took a hard hit in practice and had to have surgery last week.

On Thursday, school officials said they have sold more than 1,500 shirts and will donate the proceeds to the Bushnell family.
