Tracking a cool, breezy, and gray Saturday

TODAY: Saturday is much cooler with north-northwest winds sustained around 10-15 mph, gusting to 30, for much of the day. Additionally, skies are expected to remain overcast, with drizzle and showers off and on throughout the day. There is a chance of afternoon sunshine west of Columbia, so expect a slightly warmer evening there. Highs are forecast near 70 degrees in Columbia, and may only hit high 60s near Montgomery City, Hermann, and Mexico.

TONIGHT: Skies clear this evening, leaving a sunset likely for many. Temperatures cool into the 60s.

EXTENDED: Sunshine warms us into the 80s on Sunday amid little wind flow. More south winds and sunshine push highs into the upper 80s by Tuesday. Rain chances return Wednesday evening after a mostly dry day and increase overnight into Thursday. We likely remain in the 80s at warmest through Thursday.
