Man charged with maintaining public nuisance; deputies dispatched to house over 15 times since 2016

A Boone County man was charged with maintaining a public nuisance after deputies responded to his residence, in the 1000 block of Serenity Circle, multiple times since 2016.

According to the probable cause statement, deputies responded to Aaron Greenup’s house for disturbances, drugs, and thefts.

Deputies said that in September 2016, they responded to the house for reports of a naked woman having a mental breakdown and experiencing hallucinations. Deputies spoke with the woman, who admitted that within the last hour she had snorted methamphetamine.

Deputies said that in April 2017, they were called to Greenup’s house for a report that two runaway girls were possibly at the location. Deputies said the person who contacted law enforcement reported the girls ran away from a residential treatment facility and might be on drugs.

Deputies said that on Sept. 20, officers were called to Greenup’s residence for reports of a theft of a motor vehicle.

Deputies said that on Sept. 22, a deputy on patrol saw two people inside a vehicle on the property, and the deputy saw the driver drinking mouthwash out of a plastic mouthwash container.

Deputies said they responded to the house again on Sept. 22 after they saw a driver pick up two people at Greenup’s house and leave. During the traffic stop, deputies arrested one person for an active warrant. Deputies said they also located drug paraphernalia.

Deputies said that on Tuesday, they served a warrant to the house and found five people inside.

Deputies said three of them were on supervised Missouri probation or parole.

According to the probable cause statement, deputies said Greenup is a danger to the community because he has failed to exercise control over activities inside his home, activities which included illegal drug use, over a two-year-period.

ABC17 previously reported on Greenup back in April after authorities arrested him on suspicion of an armed robbery near Mattress Firm World.
