Rolla woman arrested after hospital staff uses Narcan to save baby’s life
The Phelps County Sheriffs Department arrested Kaylee Bradshaw, 20, on Thursday after she was accused of endangering the welfare of a child.
Deputies said Bradshaw’s 9 month-old daughter was transported to the Phelps County Regional Medical Center where she was stabilized and later taken to St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
Deputies said during the baby’s treatment, Narcan was used, she also tested positive for oxycodone, methamphetamine, morphine and heroin.
Bradshaw’s three year-old son was removed from the home by Children’s Services and later tested positive for methamphetamine, morphine and heroin, deputies said.
During the deputies investigation, it was discovered that Bradshaw did not maintain care and custody of her children and acted in a manner that was created substantial risk to their life.
Deputies said the investigation is on-going.
Bradshaw currently has a bond set at $100,000.
