Man wanted for making multiple terroristic threats to Jefferson City ice-cream store
On Tuesday, Logan Barton was charged with making a terroristic threat toward Freddy’s Frozen Custard at the 2100 block of Missouri Boulevard.
According to the probable cause statement, officers responded to Freddy’s due to a employee having an ongoing ex-parte issue.
Officers said while they were on the scene, the employee received a telephone call from Barton.
Officers said the employee was able to identify Barton because of his previous calls to the store over the past several days.
The employee said Barton had threatened the store itself by saying, “If you think what you’re doing will stop me you’re wrong.” And, “I’m going to come up there and shoot the place up,” according to the probable cause statement.
Officers said the calls began on Friday, and Barton would show up and fight the employee.
The employee told officers that Barton threatened to come kill her, and that she was afraid of her safety and the safety of other employees due to the threats being directed at everyone.
Officers said Barton is currently on probation for possession of a controlled substance and burglary.
According to the probable cause statement, Barton has not been arrested and is currently at large.
