A warm Labor Day weekend ahead for Mid-Missouri

TONIGHT: It will once again be a beautiful night across Mid-Missouri. Some passing clouds will be noticeable this evening, as a weak front tracks through the region. This will bring the chance for some stray sprinkles, but with a dry air mass in place most of Mid-Missouri will remain dry. Lows through the evening will drop to near 60 degrees, with winds out of the south under 8 mph.

SUNDAY: After a mild start to the day, we’ll see temperatures rapidly warm into the upper 80s through the afternoon hours. Sunny conditions, with very few clouds through the day. Despite the southerly winds under 7 mph, the humidity will remain on the low side.

EXTENDED: Summer-like heat returns Monday as we reach 90 degrees for Labor Day with abundant sunshine. A chance of rain comes Monday night into Tuesday morning as a cold front moves through which will cool temperatures back to the mid 70s on Tuesday. Rainfall looks meager, as most locations will likely see less than .25″, however, areas along and west of 65 could see higher amounts. Much cooler air settles in for the middle of next week with days in the low to mid 70s and nights in the upper 40s to lower 50s, feeling like fall for the second half of the week.
