Influenza A testing positive in Boone County
This week doctors in Columbia saw a lot of patients with flu-like symptoms and even had some patients test positive for influenza A.
Dr. Flynn at MU Health told ABC 17 this could be an indication it could be an early flu season this year.
Some of the common symptoms of the flu are headaches, chills, muscle aches and a fever.
Flynn said a lot of clinics in the area are getting their flu shots out early to be dispensed.
