Beautiful weather continues

TODAY: A few clouds will pick up throughout the afternoon. It will be a warm day with highs in the lower 80s. Winds will stay under 8 mph from the northeast.

TONIGHT: High clouds ahead of Tropical Storm Harvey will increase through the evening from the southeast. Our northwestern counties will see mostly clear skies through the overnight hours. Temperatures will drop into the lower 60s by morning with a slight breeze out of the north under 6 mph.

EXTENDED: Dry conditions look to continue for the rest of the week, with increased cloud cover from Harvey through Friday, mainly south of I-70. The track of Harvey is moving more to the east so rain is not expected in Mid-Missouri. Far southeast Missouri could get some rain from the decaying storm system Thursday into early Friday. We will have great weather for Labor Day weekend with warm, dry days. Highs will reach the mid to upper 80s on Sunday which looks to be the warmest day of the 3-day weekend. A chance of rain returns late Monday night into Tuesday morning as a cold front moves through which will cool temperatures back to near 80 next Tuesday.
