Woman arrested, charged after stealing credit card, police say

An Ashland woman has been charged with stealing and possession of a controlled substance after police say they found stolen items in her hotel room.

According to police, an officer was called to the Red Roof Inn after a woman reported having her credit card stolen. The victim told police her card was used at the Eagle Stop.

The victim allegedly spoke to the clerk and was told a white female used the card to buy a soda with her card. The woman was identified as Jennifer Kincheloe, police said. The officer then went back to the Red Roof Inn and saw Kincheloe sitting on the stairs with a case of soda, police said.

The officer found the victim’s credit card and Kincheloe was arrested for stealing, police said. The officer also allegedly found three grams of of a crystal substance in her cigarette package that tested positive for methamphetamine, according to police.

After the officer applied and received a search warrant for Kincheloe’s room, officers say they found three designer purses and a pair of designer shoes that was valued at more than $750.

Kincheloe was arrested for various felony warrants, stealing and possession of a controlled substance.
