Stray showers possible through Monday evening

MONDAY: It’s been a cool start to the day, as temperatures have been hovering in the lower 70s across Mid-Missouri. Clearing clouds will aid in warming most areas into the upper 70s and lower 80s. Isolated showers and storms are possible through the afternoon hours, as the cold front responsible for yesterday’s rain finally tracks through Mid-Missouri. On the backside of the front, clouds will decrease from north to south giving way to mostly sunny skies.

TONIGHT: Tonight we will see partly cloudy skies as overnight lows drop into the upper 50s. A calm breeze will allow for the chance of fog to develop again by the morning hours.

EXTENDED: The rest of the week features sunny skies, with highs in the low to mid 80s and overnight lows in the lower 60s. By the middle of the week, we will see a return of humidity. With that will come heat indices in the mid to upper 80s. This weekend the remnants of Harvey could bring us some scattered showers and storms, especially south of I-70. It’s entirely too early to tell where the track of Harvey will track, but there is a chance we could see some scattered showers from the decaying system.
