Police arrest one of two men accused of raping woman at Red Roof Inn

One of two men accused of raping a woman at the Red Roof Inn was in jail Monday.

Police say they arrested Randy Hollandsworth Sunday.

They apparently responded to the Red Roof Inn around 1:30pm after a female victim told officers she found two strangers in her room while getting her belongings.

The victim reported the men forced her onto the bed and raped her. She told officers she tried to stop them, but wasn’t able to.

The victim was able to identify one of the suspects as Randy Hollandsworth.

Police arrested Hollandsworth just before 3:00 Sunday afternoon in the 4900 block Brown Station Road.

He’s now facing possible charges of felonious restraint, kidnapping, and rape. Hollandsworth was also apparently wanted for a misdemeanor warrant for trespassing. Jail records show he’s scheduled to appear in court at 1:30pm Monday.

Police say they have not yet arrested the second suspect.
