Arrest made in shots fired on Grand Avenue

Columbia Police officers arrested Da’jon Jermaine Gully, 19, of Columbia, on Monday in connection to the shots fired incident last Wednesday in the 1200 block of Grand Avenue.

Gully was identified as the suspect on foot that began firing at a vehicle that was traveling in the area. A person in the vehicle shot back. Officers found several shell casings in the area. There were no reported injuries or property damage from the shooting.

The investigation is still ongoing and the people in the vehicle have not been identified yet.

Gully is a convicted felon. He was arrested in the 600 block of East Broadway on Monday for felony armed criminal action, felony unlawful use of a weapon and felony unlawful for certain persons to possess concealable firearm.
