MoDOT to close I-70 lanes on Rocheport Bridge for inspections

Missouri Department of Transportation crews are asking drivers to be careful as they close lanes on the bridge that carries I-70 over the Missouri River at Rocheport Monday through Thursday.

Crews will close one westbound lane from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday for a routine inspection.

One eastbound lane will be closed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday to complete the inspection.

Crews said drivers may experience some traffic delays on the bridge and should allow extra time for travel.

According to federal law, every bridge must be inspected at least every two years.
