Lingering showers and storms through Sunday evening

TONIGHT: Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to move throughout Mid-Missouri this evening and overnight. No severe weather is expected, but a few rumbles of thunder will be possible Temperatures will bottom out in the lower 60s under mostly cloudy skies.

MONDAY: Isolated showers and storms are possible through the afternoon hours, as the frontal system finally tracks through Mid-Missouri. On the backside of the front, clouds will decrease from north to south giving way to mostly sunny skies. We’ll see highs top out in the upper 70s and lower 80s, with low humidity values.

EXTENDED: The rest of the week features sunny skies, with highs in the low to mid 80s and overnight lows in the lower 60s. By the middle of the week, we will see a return of humidity. With that will come heat indices in the mid to upper 80s. This upcoming weekend will monitor watching, as the remnants of Harvey could bring us some scattered showers and storms. It’s entirely too early to tell where the track of Harvey will track, but there is a chance we could see a few remnants of it.
