Eclipse: Rangers prepare for large crowds; 42 Missouri state parks in line of eclipse totality
Park rangers throughout Missouri are preparing for large crowds to flock to state parks to view the eclipse Monday.
Missouri has about 93 state parks and historical sites and 42 of those locations are on the eclipse path of totality. Camping is offered at 18 of the 42 locations.
Visitors started camping Saturday night and early Sunday morning.
According to the Missouri state parks website, the Arrow Rock Historical Site is booked solid for Monday night and Finger Lakes State Park only has three reservations left.
Park rangers told ABC 17 News that they will have extra rangers on duty Monday.
