Phelps County Sheriff’s Department asking for help finding inmate

The Phelps County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in finding an escaped inmate.

The department posted on its Facebook page Monday night. It said Michael J. Schultz had walked away from a supervised crew within the Sheriff’s Department just before 8 p.m. Monday. He got into a white, single-cab Chevrolet pickup truck and drove away.

The department said Schultz was incarcerated on a non-violent offense. If you have any information on Schultz’s location, call the Phelps County Sheriff’s Department, local law enforcement or 911.
