Two Sedalia men arrested after three hour standoff with officers

The Benton County Sheriff’s Office posted on its Facebook page that its deputies and two other law enforcement agencies arrested two men after a three-hour standoff early Sunday morning.

The post said the standoff was near the Highway 52 and Highway 65 junction.

Deputies said Keyshawn Flowers, 18, and Patrick Covington, 21, were suspected of being involved in a shooting of a 16-year-old boy in Sedalia.

Sedalia police, Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers and Benton County deputies were able to get Flowers and Carrington to surrender without additional issues.
