Jefferson City, Paddy Malone’s reach suspension agreement
Jefferson City and and the owners of Paddy Malone’s have come to a suspension agreement after an employee fired a gun inside.
ABC 17 reported Allen Tatman, an employee, was arrested at the bar in April. He is accused of firing a flintlock rifle off the back patio and was later charged with unlawful use of a weapon.
The city’s liquor control board met with representatives for the bar in June, where the two sides agreed to continue a discussion at a later date. Liquor control board member Margie Mueller said they met again Monday and came to an agreement on a temporary suspension. The suspension came with a number of stipulations, including:
The restaurant will pay a $500 fine. Paddy Malone’s and its representatives waived their right to an appeal. Allen Tatman will not be allowed in the bar for a two-week period. His suspension will be enforced through the use of electronic monitoring equipment. The restaurant will close for business on Aug. 4-5.
Tatman has a court hearing scheduled for Sept. 12.
