Man found guilty to first degree rape from 2015

A man was found guilty on Thursday for first degree rape on MU’s campus in 2015.

ABC 17 News reached out to the Boone County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, who said that the jury recommended that Mohamed Mostafa be sentenced to 25 years in the Department of Corrections. Mostafa hasn’t been sentenced yet.

Mostafa is accused of raping and robbing a woman on MU’s campus in May 2015. On Nov. 19, a jury announced it was unable to reach a verdict on the case.
