Gloomy Thursday before a beautiful weekend

TODAY: S howers and thunderstorms will become more widespread through the afternoon. Skies will remain mostly cloudy with a chance of storms continuing south of I-70 in the afternoon and moving south through early evening. S evere weather isn’t expected today for Mid-Missouri. It won’t be feeling as hot today as temperatures will only be reaching into the mid-80s with winds shifting to the northwest under 10 mph.

TONIGHT: Conditions will dry out as skies gradually start to clear behind the cold front. Low temperatures will begin to drop back into the 60s with lower humidity. There will be a slight northerly breeze up to 8 mph.

EXTE NDED: High temperatures will cool back into the low to mid 80s from Friday through the weekend with nights in the low 60s. Skies will remain mostly sunny with low humidity and light northerly winds, giving us several days of pleasant summer weather. We’ll start warming back into the upper 80s next Tuesday and Wednesday with a slight storm chance Wednesday.
