New trial date set for Callaway County double murder suspect

A new trial date has been set for a Callaway County man charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

Dale Horton, along with Jennifer Grayson, is accused of killing his mother, Sherry Horton, and brother-in-law, Joshua Griffith, on April 26, 2016.

His trial is now scheduled for Sept. 6 at 9 a.m. with a pre-trial conference set for Sept. 5.

Horton is also charged with two counts of armed criminal action, burglary, assault and tampering with a motor vehicle.
