Teen arrested, accused of shooting on July Fourth

A 17-year-old has been arrested and charged with unlawful use of a weapon days after another teen was shot in the back on the same street.

Boone County Sheriff’s deputies said they received information on Davion Mann while investigating the Fourth of July shooting on Bethany Drive in which a teen suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Deputies arrested Mann early Friday morning after suspecting he randomly fired a gun near where the victim was shot.

As of Friday night, Mann was being held at the Boone County Jail.
