Three on the run after attempted robbery in Mexico

The Mexico Public Safety Department is looking for three suspects who attempted to rob a resident Thursday evening in the 1000 block of West Street.

Several people were in a home on West Street when someone knocked on the front door, and when it was opened, three men forced their way inside, officials said.

Two of the suspects had guns. One of the residents tried to fight one of the robbers but all three robbers ran off when the fighting began.

Nothing was reported stolen and there were only minor injuries to the resident involved in the fight.

The home invaders were in their late teens or early 20’s.
