Rain showers lighten by this afternoon

TODAY: Morning showers and storms will weaken and move southeast, ending by early afternoon. As a cold front slowly moves south of I-70 into the afternoon hours, additional storms could develop mainly along and south of I-70. Storms will move south of the area Friday evening with drier weather late Friday night and into the weekend. Highs will stay in the low to mid 80s.

TONIGHT: Dry conditions for Friday evening. Mostly cloudy conditions will remain as temps drop into the 60s. Winds out of the northwest will subside.
