Woman charged after alleged fire poker attack

Callaway County deputies charged a woman with domestic assault after she allegedly hit her husband with a fire poker.

Deputies responded to a home on State Highway 94 in Callaway County on May 1. Rhonda Becker told them her husband hit her and locked her out of the house.

When deputies spoke with her husband, they noticed he had blood on his face, stomach, and arms. He told deputies Becker had punched him several times and hit him in the face with a fire poker.

Becker has a previous domestic assault charge on her record from 2003.
