Teen life flighted to hospital after being hit by car in Fulton

A 16-year-old girl was flown to the hospital Wednesday after she was hit by a car in Fulton.

It happened around 11:30 a.m. outside the Casey’s on North Bluff Street.

Police on scene told ABC 17 News that the teen is attending summer school at Fulton High School. She was on a break with friends when she ran out into the road and was hit by a car.

According to an official release, officers found the unconscious girl lying on the side of the roadway with severe injuries.

Police said the driver of the car was very distraught. The teen had serious injuries, although it is currently unclear if they are life threatening.

Police are still investigating the incident. ABC 17 News will continue to update this story as we learn more.
