Storm chance Wednesday night
Strong to severe storms which have formed ahead of a cold front will move across northern Missouri through Wednesday evening, moving east to southeast. These could drop south to near HWY 24 by 10 PM, gradually shifting southeast overnight. The best chance of storms is north of HWY 24 Wednesday night but a few could make it as far south as I-70 as they weaken after midnight.
There is a Slight Severe Threat Wednesday night for areas north of HWY 24 and a Marginal Severe Threat south to I-70. The main threats are damaging wind and large hail but an isolated tornado can’t be ruled out.
