Police investigate two shootings near each other; property damaged

Columbia Police are investigating two shootings in north Columbia Sunday night.

Sgt. Robert Fox told ABC 17 News on scene that the department received the call around 5:30 p.m.

Early reports said the first incident was a drive by shooting. Two cars were seen shooting at each other. One car was a black sedan and the other is unknown.

Early reports show that shooting then carried over to the 2000 block of Dickinson Court where bullets impacted two homes, damaging property. Evidence at both scenes matched one another.

Fox said at one property one of the bullets hit a shower door shattering the glass. The family with kids was home at the time. At the other property, one bullet went through the kitchen area.

No injuries have been reported right now.

Police believe the two shootings are connected.
