TODAY: This afternoon temperatures are already on the warm side, with temps climbing into the mid 80s. When you factor in the humidity, it actually feels more like temperatures are approaching the upper 80s to near 90 degrees. This trend will continue through the day, with highs climbing into the lower 90s and heat indices in the mid 90s. Although it will be a gorgeous, sunny day, make sure to stay hydrated and take regular breaks in a cool place if you will spend extended periods of time outside.
TONIGHT: The warm temperatures will stick with us through Monday evening. Temperatures will only bottom out near 70 degrees under mostly clear skies. We’ll see winds remain out of the south up to 10 mph with humid conditions.
EXTENDED: The 90 degree days will continue through Tuesday with muggy nights in the 70s. There is a very small chance that we’ll see a few isolated storms through the day tomorrow, but not so great that it deserves a pop. Our best chance of storms comes Wednesday and Thursday as a cold front stalls across northern Missouri. There won’t be a noticeable drop in temperatures with this front, as highs will still stay in the upper 80s and lower 90s. Any storms that fire Wednesday have the chance to be on the strong side, with large hail being our main threat. All of Mid-Missouri is under a marginal risk for severe weather this day. While the front doesn’t clear Mid-Missouri until we head into the week, we’ll see daily storm chances that will carry us through the start of next week. Rainfall accumulations for most spots look to be around an inch For additional weather updates follow us @ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter and like us on Facebook.
