Two girls sent to hospital after ATV crash

An ATV crash sent two Hartsburg girls to the hospital Thursday.

The crash happened at 12:50 p.m. on Old Route A, about 1/10 of a mile east of Route A.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s crash report revealed both the 9-year-old and 12-year-old were thrown from the vehicle after it over-corrected while turning.

They were taken to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries.
