Phelps County man charged wtih kidnapping

A Phelps County man was arrested for kidnapping after forcing a woman to stay in her home and threatening her life.

A deputy with the Phelps County Sheriff’s Department was called to the 15000 block of county Road 8160 for an assault on Sunday.

A woman told the deputy that Christopher Knock yelled at her and physically forced her to sit in a chair for hours.

Earlier in the night, Knock was told to leave the woman’s home becuase police were called their for a domestic assault. Later, Knock came back and threatened the woman’s life and the life of her friends and familly. Knock made the woman sit in a chair for hours while slapping her in the fac e.

The woman eventually escaped to a friend’s house and asked for a ride. When the woman tried to leave her friend’s house, Knock blocked their vehicle with his own. Knock eventually left and went back to his house.
