Columbia police investigating theft at Staybridge Suites Motel

Columbia police officers were called to a robbery that had already taken place at Staybridge Suites Motel at 805 Keene Street.
According to reports, a man entered the motel armed with a gun. The suspect stole an undisclosed amount of money and property from the clerk.
The suspect fled the scene before officers got to the motel.
The suspect is described as a black male, 5’9″ to 5’10” with a skinny build.
