Woman airlifted to hospital after Lake of the Ozarks boat crash

A 24-year-old woman was airlifted to the hospital after a crash Sunday night at the Lake of the Ozarks.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol boating/drowning reports, the crash happened at 9:20 p.m. at mile marker 19 in Camden County.

Two boats were involved in the crash. The crash report says one boat was traveling downstream and the other was traveling upstream. They tried to avoid each other by turning but the first boat collided with the second on the starboard side.

The driver and both occupants in the second boat were injured. The driver sustained minor injuries while another passenger had moderate injuries and the third passenger, the woman who was airlifted to the hospital, sustained serious injuries.

No one in the other vessel was injured.
