Vehicle in flames at apartment complex in northeast Columbia

UPDATE 10:30am: The Fire Marshall said the cause of the fire was nothing suspicious. He said it was caused by an issue in the car but he could verify what the exact issue was.

Firefighters have cleared the scene.

UPDATE 9:13am: Firefighters on scene tell ABC 17 News loud popping noises heard was ammunition in the vehicle. They had previously thought the noise was from exploding airbags.

ORIGINAL: Right now crews are working to contain a vehicle fire in northeast Columbia.

The call first came out around 8:40 Tuesday morning at an apartment complex on Clark Lane.

Our ABC 17 News crew took the attached images of the vehicle up in flames.

They say firefighters have mostly put the fire out now.

ABC 17 News is heading to the scene right now and will have a live update on ABC 17 News at 9:00am. We’ll keep working to find out what caused the vehicle to ignite.
