Storm Chance Monday Afternoon

TODAY: We’ll start off the day with sunshine, and clouds increasing by 9AM-10AM. A chance for rain and thunderstorms is possible in northwest Mid-Missouri by 10AM-12PM. The rain chance increases in the afternoon with isolated thunderstorms likely. We are not under a risk for severe weather, while some of the stronger storms will have heavy rain and small hail. Rain amounts of 0.25″ to 0.50″ looks good at this time, with the highest amounts in northwest Mid-Missouri. Highs today are near average in the mid 70s with a southwest wind under 10 mph.

TONIGHT: Isolated storms look possible through 8AM Tuesday morning. Temperatures overnight will be seasonable in the mid 50s with light winds under 5 mph becoming northwesterly by Tuesday.

EXTENDED: Widely scattered showers are possible on Tuesday. It will be cooler tomorrow with highs in the upper 60s. Wednesday looks to be the coolest day of the week, nearly 15 degrees below normal in the low 60s. We’ll start to warm back up on Thursday with plenty of sun and highs in the mid 70s. Storms look possible heading into Friday morning, and again during the day on Saturday.
