A man was injured overnight when he was mugged by three men in Alley A between Eighth and Ninth streets, Columbia police said.

Police said the man was hit from behind around midnight, and three men took his wallet and ran away. Police said the victim was injured, but did not elaborate on the extent of his injuries Sunday.

The men are described as being in their early 20s. Police said one man had dreadlocks and was wearing a red shirt. Another had a short afro and a multi-colored shirt. The third was wearing a gray hoodie.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Columbia Police Department or CrimeStoppers at 875-TIPS to remain anonymous.
