Storm causes damage and power outages in mid-Missouri

Over 50 customers continue to be out of power Saturday morning after a severe thunderstorm with hail and strong winds blew through mid-Missouri Friday night.

Trees have been uprooted, shingles came off of rooftops and some power lines were knocked down because of the storm.

According to weather reports, some of mid-Missouri experienced winds over 60 miles per hour.

Columbia received .64 inches of rain, Jefferson City received .99 inches of rain, Lake of the Ozarks received 1.11 inches of rain and Sedalia received .23 inches of rain between Thursday and Friday night.
