Mainly Dry Thursday with Storms Late
TODAY: It will be a nicer morning with a mostly clear sky with lighter winds. It will also feel less muggy this morning. The afternoon looks warm with clouds increasing by evening. Temperatures will warm to the low 80s under a partly cloudy sky. There is a SMALL chance for storms to develop near HWY 24 this evening where there is a Marginal Risk. Newest data however is suggesting us staying dry through 11PM.
TONIGHT: A storm system that could bring gusty 60 mph winds and large hail overnight moves in between 1AM and 6AM. There is a slight risk for severe weather tonight. Winds will be variable coming easterly under 7 mph with temperatures in the low 60s.
EXTENDED: Friday late morning and early afternoon will bring some dry time before storms increase during the day again. Storms look to move into west Mid-Missouri by 3PM-5PM. Periods of storms will continue through Friday night and into Saturday evening. A preliminary look at rain through the end of the week indicates 1″ to 4″ possible by Saturday evening, with the highest rain totals near HWY 65. Newest data suggests we’ll dry out by Saturday evening leaving a pleasant end to the weekend with more sun, low humidity and highs near average in the low 70s.
