Kansas City man threatens Cooper County residents with knife, gun

A Kansas City man was charged with three counts of unlawful use of a weapon in Cooper County after threatening people with a knife and a gun.

On May 10 at the 400 block of Fourth Street in Boonville, George Khalil allegedly woke up the victim and started an argument with hi,. During the argument, Khalil threatened the victim with a knife and also held a gun to his head.

The victim ran to the police department, which was a blick and a half away, and told officers what happened. Khalil fled the scene. Witnesses told officers they were scared of Khalil, who has a past record that includes domestic assault, DWI, possession of drugs and unlawful possession of a gun. Khalil is a convicted felon.
