UPDATE: Residents experiencing power outages in Columbia, issues resolved

UPDATE 5:23 p.m.: All of the outages have been fixed.

UPDATE 3:30 p.m.: Most of the outages have been fixed, leaving about 172 people still without power. The Green Meadows and Providence outage was a blown fuse, but according to Columbia City spokesperson Steve Sapp, the city likely won’t know what exactly caused these outages until tomorrow.

ORIGINAL STORY: Mid-Missourians are expected to see high-speed winds and stormy weather into the early evening hours of Wednesday.

ABC 17 News has been monitoring local power outages. Right now, 1306 people in the Columbia area are dealing with power outages, and 36 customers have called Columbia and Light within the last hour.
