Two Cole County men charged for DWI in separate incidents

Two Cole County men were charged on Monday for DWI.

Scott Austin was charged with DWI and driving with a revoked or suspended license. According to court documents, on April 23, Austin was driving southbound on South Country Club Drive and swerved into the center line.

A traffic stop was conducted on Austin by the Cole County police. He smelled of alcohol, his speech was slurred and hi eyes were glassy and bloodshot.

Tests confirmed that Austin’s blood alcohol content was 0.200 percent.

Robert Criddle was charged with DWI, possession of marijuana, leaving the scene of an accident and not having his registration when the Missouri State Highway Patrol found him passed out in his car after he crashed on Monticello Road on April 25.

When troopers pulled Criddle out of his car, they smelled a strong odor of intoxicants coming off of him. There was also damage reported on Dewberry Road that matched the damage on Criddle’s vehicle. Tests confirmed that Criddle’s blood alcohol content was 0.151 percent.
