Boone County woman charged with child abuse

A Boone County woman was charged on April 28 for child abuse.

According to the probable cause statement, police officers were called to 1700 Sylvan Lane in Boone County after a juvenile girl said that Gabrielle White punched a 10-year-old boy on his back because he allegedly hit White.

The girl also said that White hit the boy with a belt. The boy told officers that White hit him twice with the belt, that he was still in pain and that there was a bruise on his back.

The boy also said that White punched him four times on his back and arm.
